Dr. and Mrs. Marshall Wilson Anderson III of Burlington announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Grace Anderson of Burlington, to Christian Luke Childs of Salisbury, son of Ms. Angie Childs and Mr. Greg Childs, both of Salisbury.
The bride is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Stockard of Elon; Dr. Malissa Anderson of Raleigh; and Dr. Marshall Wilson Anderson Jr. of Cincinatti, Ohio. The groom is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence Childs of Hillsville, Va.; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Kerley of Denver, N.C.; and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Moretz of Huntersville.
The wedding is at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church in Blowing Rock. A reception will follow at Blowing Rock Country Club.
The bride graduated from Walter M. Williams High School in 2013 and Cum Laude from Applachian State University, Boone, in 2017, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She is a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She will attend the Eshelman School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall.
The groom graduated from East Rowan High School in Salisbury in 2010 and Appalachian State University in Boone in 2015, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. He is a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He is an administrator in training at Alston Brook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lexington.
