Hayley Patterson Dillon and Bradley Porter Cain were united in marriage on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at Edenton Street United Methodist Church in Raleigh. The Rev. Robert J. Bauman officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grover Lee Dillon III of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Cline Montague of Burlington and Mrs. Annie Anderson Dillon and the late Mr. Grover Lee Dillon, Jr. of Raleigh.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Booth Cain III of Atlanta. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Willard Miller of Smyrna, Ga. and the late Captain Henry Booth Cain, Jr., U.S.M.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alexander James Porter, Jr.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
The sister of the bride, Anna Taylor Dillon of Atlanta served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Cain Vargo of Boulder, Colo., sister of the groom; Mary Brent Barnard and Taylor Delbridge Hamilton of New York; Leah Andress Brady, Rebecca Kathryn Brown, Barbre Elizabeth McGill and Sydney Merritt Stone, all of Washington, DC; Madeleine Van Deeter Carlson, Virginia Crutcher Nash, Lauren Stange Nicholson, Greyson Kane Sidebotham, Cameron Robbins Taylor and McCauley James Yates, all of Raleigh; and Katherine St. Clair Matthews of Atlanta.
The groom’s father and Taylor Miller Cain of San Francisco, Calif., the groom's brother, served as best men. Groomsmen were Christopher Joseph Vargo of Boulder, Colo., brother-in-law of the groom; Kenneth Kaull Budd, Jr. of Birmingham, Ala.; Basil Magruder Jones III of Richmond, Va.; Walker DeHart Redd of Boston, Mass.; Arthur Winfield Rollins III of New York; Lewis Swindell Sloan, Jr. of Washington, D.C. and Harry Barnett Williams and Blanton Cortelyou Winship, Jr., both of Atlanta. Myers Anderson Newman and Lucas Patrick Newman of Charlotte, cousins of the bride, served as ring bearers.
Molly Elizabeth Roberts, cousin of the bride, and Lauren Robbins Dickson, both of Raleigh, served as program attendants. Guest book attendants were Jane Elizabeth Cowan of Atlanta and Sallie Routh Gallagher of Washington, DC. Church greeters were Mary Catherine Maus of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Kate Connor Woodard of Raleigh.
The bride is a graduate of St. Mary’s School and the University of North Carolina Kenan Flagler Business School. She is employed by Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington, D.C.
The groom is a graduate of The Lovett School in Atlanta and the University of Virginia. He is employed by HCI Equity Partners in Washington, D.C.
The groom's parents honored the couple with a rehearsal dinner at the Merrimon-Wynne House of Raleigh.
The bride's parents entertained with a reception at the Carolina Country Club.
Following a honeymoon trip to the Maldives, the couple will reside in Washington, D.C.
