Jim and Sue Brown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at their home with family and friends.
They have four children: Katie Brown of Elon; Jamie Jackson and son-in-law, Jeff, of Apex; David Brown and daughter-in-law, Callie, of Winston-Salem; and Laura Cloninger and son-in-law Adam of Hillsborough. They have four grandchildren: Elliott, Caleb, Anna and Elsie.
They met as students at Elon College (now Elon University) and married in 1969 in Florida.
Sue graduated with a degree in education and Jim graduated with a degree in Math and Physics. After Jim’s service in the Air Force, they returned to Elon. Jim worked for Carolina Biological Supply Company for 40 years, and Sue worked at Elon Elementary for nearly 20 years.
Jim and Sue are members of Elon Community Church. They are enjoying retirement, relaxing and spending time with their family.
