Victoria Andre Touloupas of Burlington and Dr. James Dylan Higgins of Atlanta, GA, were wed at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church in Burlington. Father Gerry Waterman, OFM CONV. and the Rev. Taylor Barner officiated. Music was by organist Matt Brittain.
The bride is the daughter of Drs. Michael and Cynthia Touloupas of Burlington. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. John Touloupas of Burlington; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kane of Lincoln Park, N.J.; and the late John Touloupas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Higgins of Lawrenceville, Ga. He is the grandson of Mrs. Robert Higgins of Woodbury, Tenn; and the late Mr. Robert Higgins and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clark III.
Maid of honor is Patricia Ann Teter of Greensboro, NC. Bridesmaids were Alexandra Kathleen Touloupas of Framingham, MA, and Stephanie Ann Touloupas of Fishersville, VA, sisters of the bride; and Mary Kate Peabody of Tampa, FLA, sister of the groom. Junior bridesmaid was Olivia Ricciardelli of Nashville, TENN, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Daniel Lee Higgins of Atlanta, GA, brother of the groom; Michael Touloupas of Chapel Hill, NC, brother of the bride; Dr. Kenneth Wessel of Atlanta, GA; Dr. Joel Cannon of Milton, FLA; Mr. Jordan Dukeof Atlanta, GA; and Mr. Samuel Ridderhof of New York City, NY. Junior groomsmen were Zachary Ricciardelli and Luke Ricciardell, both of Nashville, TENN and cousins of the bride.
Wedding director was Mrs. Robert Hill of Burlington. Program attendants were Dr. Anna Drew Jackson of Nashville, TENN and Mr. Brennan Peabody of Tampa, FLA.
The groom's parents entertained with a rehearsal dinner at Alamance Country Club.
The bride's parents honored the couple with reception at The Addison Farm in Elon.
The couple was honored with a bridal shower in Burlington given by the bride's aunts, Mrs. Jane Ferrita and Mrs. Florence Campanella. A bridal shower in Nashville, Tenn., was given by Mrs. Nancy Ricciardelli, the bride's cousin. A bridesmaids luncheon was given by the Brides aunts Mrs. Celia Sims, Ms. Cynthia Rich, Mrs. Jackie Harrell and Mrs. Shelia Touloupas.
The couple was honored with an after rehearsal dinner party at the Best Western by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hill; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Smith; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Walker; Mr. and Mrs. Scotty Showerman; Dr. and Mrs. Marty DeFrancesco; Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Koury and Ms. Teena Koury.
The bride graduated from St. Mary's High School in Raleigh, in 2009 and she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Business Administration from Elon University in 2013. She is a Product Manager for Women's Health and Primary Care with LabCorp.
The groom graduated from Peach Tree Ridge High School in Lawrenceville, Ga., in 2008. He earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Exercise and Sports Science from Kennesaw State University, where he also played tennis, in 2012. He earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mercer University in 2015. He is a physical therapist with Results Physiotherapy.
The couple met in Nashville, Tenn.
The couple honeymooned in Barbados and are currently residing in North Carolina.
