GIBSONVILLE — A Graham man who worked for a housecleaning company is accused of stealing property from two houses he cleaned, the Gibsonville Police Department said.
An investigation into two reports of stolen property, including jewelry and a firearm, found that both victims had their homes cleaned by James Francis Provost II, who was employed by AnD Services LLC in Gibsonville. Some of the property stolen was recovered at pawn shops in Burlington, where Provost sold them, police said.
On Thursday, June 20, Gibsonville officers with the assistance of officers with the Graham Police Department executed a search warrant at Provost’s resident in the 200 block of Aloha Drive in Grahm. This search found “additional violations of the NC Controlled Substance Act,” which is being investigated by the Graham Police Department, police said.
Provost was arrested and charged with larceny of a firearm, felony larceny and obtaining property by false pretenses.
Provost has been employed by AnD Services for about a year, and investigators said that anyone who has used the company and thinks they may be a victim can contact an investigator at the Gibsonville Police Department at 336-449-6677.
This investigation is ongoing, police said.
