BURLINGTON - A 16-year-old boy was killed in a shooting Sunday night.
The shooting in the 200 block of Hatch Street north of downtown Burlington was reported about 10:30 p.m., the Burlington Police Department said. Police arrived and began lifesaving measures as Burlington Fire Department and Alamance County EMS arrived. The boy was later pronounced deceased by EMS.
The boy's name was not released.
Police determined that the shooting resulted from a dispute between two groups of juveniles, a police press release said.
Police did not release any other information.
