GIBSONVILLE – The State Highway Patrol is looking for a hit-and-run driver responsible for a Burlington man's death on Friday.
Andrew Marshall Jenkins, 40, of Burlington was walking east on U.S. 70 near N.C. 61 in eastern Guilford County when a vehicle struck him in the roadway about 7:45 a.m. Sept. 8.
Jenkins died on the scene.
Investigators think the vehicle was a white Ford F-150 pickup, possibly a model from 1997 to 2003. It may have damage to the front right corner, and it is missing the passenger side mirror.
It was last seen traveling east on U.S. 70 from N.C. 61 near the time that Jenkins was hit.
The Highway Patrol asks that anyone with information contact them by dialing *HP (*47) on a cellphone or calling the communications center at 1-800-445-8621.
