Hervey Garcia, an artist from Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, presents the painting "Between Us" at Alamance Arts in Graham, as a gift from sister city Soledad. The 8 foot-by-10 foot painting began in Garcia's mind 14 days ago and was painted in an upstairs studio at Alamance Arts' Captain White House. It features symbolism of the Aztecs and Native Americans, with green eagle feathers from Mexico and brown Eagle feathers from North America, and the topography of Soledad and Burlington.
