BURLINGTON — Holiday Magic, a downtown Burlington Christmas tradition, will take place from 4-7 p.m. Saturday.
The festival fills the Historic Depot and surrounding streets with holiday-themed activities, yuletide photo opportunities, food and craft vendors, live music and other performances.
The Holiday Express mini-train ride will traverse Front Street, with tickets $2 a ride. Live dance will be performed by Alamance Fine Arts Academy and Karizma, while live music will be played by Neville’s Quarter and Lisa on Front Street and Lisa Kyle & Damon on Spring Street.
Photo opportunities include pictures with Santa and Ms. Claus, snow princesses and a life-size snow globe.
Alamance Children’s Theater and Alamance Fine Arts Academy both have live theater performances. Tickets are required for the performances and can be bought through the presenters.
Alamance Fine Arts presents “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at 4, 5, 6 and 7 p.m. Alamance Children’s Theater presents “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” at 7 p.m.
Downtown restaurants and merchants will participate in Holiday Magic as well.
The festival is hosted by the Burlington Recreation and Parks Special Events Division.
