Following the shutdown of the Colonial Pipeline, gas stations across North Carolina are out of fuel.
The pipeline, which runs from Texas to New York, was the victim of a cybersecurity attack over the weekend. As a precaution, the pipeline was shut down. According to AAA, the pipeline provides about 45 percent of the East Coast’s fuel supply.
Here's a list of apps and websites that show what gas stations still have fuel and where to find the cheapest gas:
GasBuddy
GasBuddy has a phone app and a website, which allow users to find the cheapest gas prices and see what stations still have fuel available.
Gas Guru
Gas Guru is another app that gives users the cheapest gas prices in the area.
AAA
AAA's TripTik allows users to plan trips and find gas stations along the way. The website shows the latest fuel prices.
Waze
Waze functions to let people know about traffic, road closures and anything else that would affect a commute. It also allows users to track cheap gas, showing current prices and the last time prices were updated.
Drivvo
Drivvo is a car management app that tracks money spent on car expenses, including fuel, and helps people manage money spent on vehicles.
