The following are all the restaurants in Alamance County inspected in October 2022.
In all,one restaurant, Dos Toros Meat Market in Burlington, scored a B grade. Among the violations in the report, the inspector wrote, "Observed molded dry chorizo meat in packages. When asking when and how it comes in, PIC said it comes in dried out already and then they pre-portion it and it has been sitting there since last Thursday. Dried chorizo was discarded."
In addition, the inspector wrote that he or she observed dirty dishes and utensils, prepared food not being kept at proper temperature and other violations. In August 2022, the eatery and meat market received an 86 health grade.
One restaurant scored a 100 during the Oct. 2022 inspections period in Alamance County.
Restaurant grades are on a 100-point scale. The restaurant starts with a 100 score and loses points for violations. Not every restaurant in the county is inspected each month. The restaurants are inspected on a rotating basis three to four times per calendar year.Here's the grading scale used by Davidson County Health Department inspectors A= 100 to 90 point B = 89.5 to 80 points C = 79.5 to 70
