Kyla Workman, a sixth-grader at River Mill Academy, has won the National Society Sons of the American Revolution’s Elementary School Poster Contest for Americanism held at the SAR National Convention in Seattle.
Her poster depicts Betsy Ross creating the first American flag.
Kyla also won the Alamance Battleground SAR contest from among 40 local entries, and she also won the N.C. Society SAR contest.
Her winning poster will be displayed at the NSSAR headquarters in Louisville, Ky.
