Officers used force to arrest four people at the Pines Apartments, according to a Graham Police news release, when a group of bystanders objected to a traffic stop, Thursday, April 21.
Police held back details like the number and names of people arrested until Friday, and are still holding back the number and nature of the uses of force, or whether there were any injuries pending an investigation, according to the release.
The Times-News is not publishing the names and photos of those arrested at this time but three of them were adult males, 29, 22 and 19, and one was a juvenile the police have not identified.
Three of them were charged with resisting, delaying or obstructing a public officer, and the 19-year-old was charged with assault on a government officer. That man's mug shot appeared to show minor cuts and bruises on his face. Of the three adults identified, two of them were Black, and the 29-year-old was white. He was also the only one still in jail Friday afternoon, according to the sheriff's office inmate list.
