A man was arrested following a shooting on Sept. 29.
Jovanta Contavious Woods is being charged with first degree murder in connection to the shooting, according to a press release from the Burlington Police Department.
At 5:08 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29, officers responded to the 300 block of Foster Street for a report of a shooting. Police said Marcus Gerard Mosley, 28, was lying in the road with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was taken to the Alamance Regional Medical Center where he later died of his injuries, the release said.
Woods was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 15. He's being held at the Alamance County Jail without bond.
