Remember “Silent Cal?” No, I don’t mean “Silent” Calvin Coolidge, who served as the 30th President of the United States. I’m talking about North Carolina’s “Silent” Cal Cunningham.

Until the news broke that Cal Cunningham was engaged in an extramarital affair with a California lobbyist and a U.S. soldier's wife, you would occasionally see Silent Cal on TV pushing Chuck Schumer’s far-left agenda and talking about how much be believed in North Carolina values. But now, he’s disappeared into thin air. The damning text messages and corroborating evidence confirming the affair were revealed, and Silent Cal has gone into hiding, perhaps near the same undisclosed location that Joe Biden retreats to after he calls a lid on press coverage at around 9 a.m. every morning. Not one word from Silent Cal on the Army Reserve’s investigation into his affair with a subordinate’s wife and not one word on critical national issues like COVID-19 or his position on packing the Supreme Court.
