Host Burlington Christian Academy placed first in both boys' and girls' team competitions in a cross country meet at Cedarock Park on Thursday.
In team competition for boys, BCA was first with 32 points, followed by Trinity School of Durham (36), The O'Neal School (53) and Salem Baptist Christian (116).
Trinity School of Durham's Turner Merritt placed first with a time of 20:01.62. Burlington Christian Academy's Josiah Morton (20:18.61), Brock Matheny (20:24.55) and Jacob Cockerham (20:29.03) finished third through fifth, respectively.
In team competition for girls, BCA placed first with nine points, followed by The O'Neal School with 12 points.
The O'Neal School's Molly Kuzma placed first (19:57.17). Burlington Christian Academy's Hailey Copland (23:01.73), Larkin Toper (23:34.62) and Hadassah Morton (23:42.15) placed second through fourth, respectively.
At Elon, The O'Neal School defeated host Burlington Christian Academy 7-2.
Hannah Saye, Tea Waldt and Ava Simmons won individual matches for The O'Neal School while Charly Isley and Kennedy Madren earned victories for BCA.
In doubles competition, Saye / Waldt and Brooke Greenblatt / Connor Smitherman of The O'Neal School picked up victories.
• On Tuesday at Raleigh, Trinity of Raleigh defeated BCA 8-1.
Molly Williams, Mary Kate Ayers, Madison Jackson and Taylor Grace Birford of Trinity of Raleigh each won in singles competition. Jaden Wilson provided BCA's sole victory.
In doubles competition, Williams / Ayers and Birford / Samantha Woodfin were victorious.
