WINSTON-SALEM — Trailing in the evening's final match and with the team score tied Thursday, Julia Leonard and Olivia Leonard rallied to earn a doubles victory and secure a 5-4 non-conference victory for the Burlington Christian School girls' tennis team against host Calvary Day School.
The Royals' top doubles pairing fell behind 5-2 in the match before surging to win an 8-8 final in a 7-point tiebreaker.
Julia Leonard, Olivia Leonard and Jaden Wilson claimed victories in singles matches while Kennedy Madren / Wilson were triumphant in doubles for the Royals (3-5 overall).
Nichole Allgood and Celia Odum won singles matches for the Cougars (5-7).
BCA forfeited two matches — one in singles and one in doubles — because of a limited number of players.
At Graham, Jonny Cline scored his third hat trick in as many games and host Alamance Christian School defeated Burlington Christian Academy 5-1 in a non-conference game.
Dawson Link provided a goal and two assists, Nate Bivins scored once and Garrett Brown registered an assist to boost the Warriors (9-0).
Cline also scored three goals in each of Alamance Christian School's last two games — Tuesday against Bradford Academy and Monday against Wilson Christian Academy.
