Alamance Christian School boys bolt by Wilmington Christian, advance to state semifinals

GRAHAM — Jonny Cline provided three goals and four assists and Alamance Christian School defeated Wilmington Christian Academy 7-0 in the quarterfinals of the NCCSA Class 2-A state tournament for boys' soccer on Saturday afternoon.

Alamance Christian School plays at Wilson Christian Academy in the state semifinals on Tuesday night in a rematch of the semifinals a season ago. Wilson Christian Academy defeated the Warriors 2-1 in that game to advance to the 2019 championship game, in which it lost to Gospel Light.

Josh Funk scored twice while Dawson Link tallied a goal and an assist for the host Warriors (12-1). Zion LaTour added a goal and Corey Wall notched an assist.

Wilmington Christian closes its season with an 8-5 record.
