Thursday at Greensboro, Kam Byrd posted a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds and Williams High School defeated host Southern Guilford 57-50 in a Mid-Piedmont Conference boys' basketball game.

Jeremiah King supplied 20 points and five assists and T.J. Lester pitched in with 10 points and nine rebounds for the Bulldogs (1-1 overall, 1-1 Mid-Piedmont Conference).
