BURLINGTON — According to a notice from the city of Burlington, registration will be held for the following sports:
Adult kickball
Registration is currently going on and will run through Tuesday, July 23. Games will begin Thursday, Aug. 1. Entry fee is $300.
Adult softball
Registration will run from July 1-Aug. 9. Games will begin the week of Monday, Aug. 19. Practice can begin the week of Monday, July 22. Entry fee is $300.

Fall youth soccer
Youth soccer is offered for girls and boys aged 4-16. All leagues are divided by gender with the exception of biddy, for ages 4-5, and beginner, for age 6, which are both co-ed. Registration for all soccer leagues are going on now and will run until Friday, July 26. Practices will begin in August, and games in September. Registration will start at $25 for residents and $55 for non-residents and will be lowered by $5 for each additional child registered.
The goal of youth soccer, through Burlington Recreation and Parks, is for players to learn the game, increase skill level and most importantly to have fun. Players who want a higher level of competition and more advanced instruction should look into the Burlington Soccer Club which sponsors travel teams for girls and boys beginning at age 8. Those interested in Burlington Soccer Club may email Sarah Bridges at sbridges@ncfusion.org.
Youth flag football
Youth flag football is offered for girls and boys aged 5-12 (must be 5 by Nov. 1). Flag football is an opportunity for kids to display their skills without the hard contact. Registration is currently going on and will run through Friday, Aug. 2. Practices can start in August, and games begin in September. Registration fee is $25 for city residents and $55 for non-residents.
