BURLINGTON — Police say that a man who lives at one of two mobile homes that burned on Friday set the fires, and they were looking for him on Thursday.
Jose Oscar Santiago-Dimas, 45, is wanted on two counts of first-degree arson and one count of burning personal property.
The fires at 2844 Maple Ave. were reported about 12:35 p.m., the Burlington Fire Department said. The first firefighters arrived to find both mobile homes on fire.
Firefighters ensured there was no one in either one and began to extinguish the fires. Firefighters were the on scene for an extended period making sure all hotspots were out given the extensive fire damage, the fire department said. Both mobile homes were a total loss.
There were no injuries reported.
Police did not release any information Thursday about how or why investigators think the fires were started.
The fires displaced two families, one of whom was assisted by the American Red Cross. The other was helped by family members.
