Alamance County has administered more than 146,724 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, as of June 29, according to data from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
That's up 1.3% from the previous week's tally of 144,839 COVID-19 doses administered.
In Alamance County, 46% of people are fully vaccinated as of June 29. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they've been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or a second shot (either Pfizer or Moderna).
North Carolina reported 1,013,481 total cases of coronavirus, an increase of 0.24% from the week before.
The five counties with the highest percentage of their population fully vaccinated in North Carolina as of June 29 are Orange County (65%), Dare County (61%), Wake County (58%), Brunswick County (56%) and Durham County (56%).

Among neighboring counties, Orange County has the highest percentage rate of fully vaccinated residents (65%) and residents with at least one dose (67%). Randolph County has the lowest percentage rate of fully vaccinated residents (31%) and residents with at least one dose (33%). The percentage rate of fully vaccinated residents in Chatham is 50%, while in Guilford, that rate is 47%.

Alamance County has 40 active cases of COVID-19 and two people in the hospital due to the virus, as of 11:59 p.m. on June 30.
The county has had 287 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic and 19,336 total confirmed cases.
