A northern Alamance County man was arrested Monday in connection with the December death of Edward Eugene Beasley.
Jerry Brandon, 54, of 5240 George Miles Road, north of Pleasant Grove, is charged with voluntary manslaughter.

A northern Alamance County man was arrested Monday in connection with the December death of Edward Eugene Beasley.
Jerry Brandon, 54, of 5240 George Miles Road, north of Pleasant Grove, is charged with voluntary manslaughter.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to 5268 George Miles Road, Burlington, in reference to a death investigation Saturday, Dec. 28, after Beasley, 68, was reported dead by a neighbor. The Sheriff’s Office previously said Beasley was found stabbed to death.
Brandon was identified as a suspect and later charged with voluntary manslaughter.
Brandon’s bail was set at $200,000.
