Burlington Police arrest two in June 7 Maple Avenue shooting

Michael Dillon Daniels, 28, faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a felon. He is in the Alamance County Detention Center on $300,000 bond.

Police also charged Samantha Kaye Vogel, 27, with aiding and abetting attempted first-degree murder. She was held on $50,000 bond.

According to a Burlington Police news release, a man with long dreadlocks shot a 28-year-old man at the Huff's gas station, 2562 Maple Ave., Burlington, at 4:17 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, and fled in a newer model white Kia Optima headed east on Interstate 40/85.

The victim is still in the hospital listed in stable condition, according to police. More charges are possible.
