A car crash over the weekend left one man injured as officials continue to investigate what happened.
The Burlington Police Department, Burlington Fire Department, and Alamance County Emergency Medical Services responded to a car crash on South Mebane Street near Columbine Lane on October 7 at 9:31 p.m., according to a press release from the Burlington Police Department.
The driver lost control of the car and hit an off-road utility pole while driving a 2008 Honda Civic traveling east on S. Mebane Street near Flint Street, according to the press release. The car then rolled several times, according to a press release from the Burlington Police Department.
The driver was the only person in the vehicle at the time.
The driver was treated at the scene of the crash by the Alamance County Emergency Medical Services and taken to a local hospital for further treatment, according to a press release from the Burlington Police Department.
The ongoing investigation indicates that speed and impairment were both a factor in this crash, according to a press release from the Burlington Police Department.
