The shooting in the 4700 block of McConnell Road was reported about 2:10 p.m.

MCLEANSVILLE — Two men were injured in an exchange of gunfire at a house in rural eastern Guilford County on Monday afternoon, the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office said.
The shooting in the 4700 block of McConnell Road was reported about 2:10 p.m.
A 24-year-old man who was involved fled the house and was later found on Mount Hope Church Road near Millstream Road with a single gunshot wound, the sheriff’s office said. He was taken by EMS to a local hospital for treatment and was in stable condition Tuesday.
At the McConnell Road house deputies found a 21-year-old man who also had a single gunshot wound. He was taken by EMS to a local hospital for treatment and was later released.
No other information about the shootings were released, but the sheriff’s office said there was no threat to the general public from them.
