Burlington firefighters responded to a fire at a fast food restaurant Wednesday morning.
The Burlington Fire Department responded to reports of a fire at Hardeeās, located at 2349 Maple Avenue on October 5, around 10:15 a.m., according to a press release from the Burlington Fire Department.
The fire was confined to the hood system itself and the areas near it. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and no employees or patrons were hurt.
The cause of the fire was a cooking incident, according to the Burlington Fire Department.
Damage is estimated to be $25,000, according to the Burlington Fire Department. The Burlington Fire Department was also assisted by the Burlington Police Department, Duke Energy, Piedmont Natural Gas, and the Alamance County Health Department.
