Veterans Day is Friday, Nov. 11, and to thank active and former military members, many franchise restaurants throughout Alamance County are offering free meals and other deals.
Here's a look at the deals this year. Note that most offers require patrons to present a military ID or proof of service.
Applebee's: Free meal (dine-in only) from a select menu and a $5 "bounce back" card to redeem for dine-in, to-go, or delivery within three weeks.
Chili's: Free meal from a select menu. Offer valid for dine-in only.
Cici's: Free adult buffet. Offer valid for dine-in only. Beverage not included.
Cracker Barrel:Complimentary slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake available in-store or online.
Dollar General: 20% off on qualifying, in-store purchases from November 10 to November 13.
Einstein Bros. Bagels: Free hot or iced coffee (any size) with a purchase in-store.
Food Lion: 10% on in-store purchase total before taxes.
Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers: Free Freddy’s Original Double with Cheese combo meal card that can be redeemed through November 30.
Great Clips: Free haircut or a free haircut card for a future visit.
Golden Corral: Golden Corral is hosting their Military Appreciation Night on November 14 from 5 p.m. to close. This includes a free “thank you” meal when dining in.
Hooters: Free entrée from the Hooters Veterans Day Menu with the purchase of a beverage (dine-in only).
IHOP: A free stack of Red, White & Blueberry Pancakes7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
North Carolina Zoo: Free admission for military personnel and veterans and for one accompanying guest during Military Appreciation Week, Nov. 7-13, 2022.
Outback Steakhouse: 10% off for all service members, veterans, and first responders is offered all year through their Heroes Discount.
Publix: 10% discount on groceries.
Red Lobster: Free Walt's Favorite Shrimp, Fries, and Coleslaw for dine-in and to-go orders placed in-restaurant between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Red Robin: Free Red's Tavern Double when dining in. The meal also comes with free refills of Bottomless Steak Fries.
Sheetz: Free half turkey sub and a regular-size fountain drink.
Starbucks: Free tall (12-oz) hot or iced coffee.
Target: 10% military discount from Oct. 30 through Nov. 12.
Texas Roadhouse: Meal vouchers from a select menu between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vouchers are good for dine-in or carry-out and can be used until May 30, 2023.
Alpha XR: 20% off regular-priced, eligible store items from Nov. 11 through 14.
Wendy's: Free breakfast combo offer from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Zaxby's: Free Signature Sandwich meal.
7-Eleven: Fee Quarter-Pound Big Bite 100% all-beef hot dog on Nov. 11. Available in-store and via delivery through the 7NOW app
