Six girls' soccer teams high schools in Alamance County and the surrounding area will compete in the NCHSAA state playoffs, per brackets released Friday by the state athletic association.
First-round games are scheduled for Monday.
Here's a look at those matchups:
Class 3-A East
• Eastern Alamance (13-3-1), the Central Carolina Conference champion, is the No. 5 seed and plays host to No. 28 seed Fayetteville Seventy-First (7-5-4).
• No. 18 seed Williams High School (12-5-2), the runner-up in the Central Carolina Conference, plays at No. 15 seed Holly Ridge Dixon (9-6-6).
• No. 21 seed Western Alamance (12-6-1) travels to Kill Devil Hills for a matchup with No. 12 seed First Flight (13-4-1).
Class 4-A West
• No. 24 seed Southern Alamance (8-7-5) heads to Hope Mills to take on No. 9 seed Gray's Creek (13-3-2).
Class 2-A East
• No. 21 seed Graham (7-3) travels to No. 12 seed East Bladen (12-2).
Class 1-A East
• No. 11 seed Clover Garden (9-9), the Central Tar Heel Conference runner-up, plays host to No. 22 seed North Duplin (2-11-1).
