A house caught fire in Burlington on Friday night. This was the second house fire in Burlington within three days.
At 8:21 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, the fire department responded to the 400 block of Chapel Hill Road for a report of a house fire.
Firefighters said they arrived within three minutes and put out a fire on the first floor within 20 minutes, limiting damage to other areas of the house.
There was no one home at the time of the fire, and no one was injured, according to a press release from the fire department.
Damage is estimated to be $75,000 to the home and $20,000 to its contents, the release said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Responding agencies included the Burlington Fire Department, the Burlington Police Department, Alamance County EMS, Duke Energy, Piedmont Natural Gas and the American Red Cross.
