Blueberry Thrill Farm, 6938 Eaglesfield Road, Gibsonville, will open its pick-your-own pumpkin patch and apple orchard from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10.
There is no admission cost. Pumpkins range in price from $2 to $10, depending on size. There is a one bag minimum for pick-your-own apples, costing $10. Pre-picked half bags of apples can be bought for $5.
The N.C. Therapeutic Riding Center in Mebane welcomed clients back this week after closing down their programming March 16 because of the COVID-19 crisis. The Alamance County YMCA will begin extended hours Monday, Oct. 12. The center will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, and closed Sundays. The YMCA reopened the gym two weeks ago and will be periodically expanding hours at the center. If you have questions, call the front desk at 336-395-9622.
