For a second straight week, Southern Alamance senior Braxton Meyers is the Times-News Football Player of the Week, as determined by a fan vote.
Meyers rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries in the Patriots' 40-14 victory at Western Alamance.
Southern Alamance returns to the field Friday night when it plays host to Eastern Alamance.

Seven high school football players from Alamance County and surrounding area teams produced impact performances in Week 4, making them candidates for the Times-News Football Player of the Week award.
Take a look at each of the top performers and vote through Tuesday night. The winner will be announced online Wednesday morning.
Khyair Lundy, Eastern Guilford
The senior receiver caught five passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns in Eastern Guilford’s 47-0 victory against Jamestown Ragsdale. He also punched in a 5-yard rushing touchdown.
Braxton Veiga, Eastern Guilford
The junior linebacker tallied 13 tackles, including five for losses, one sack, one interception and one pass breakup.
Khavrie Hightower, Graham
The junior hauled in six receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown in Graham’s 33-14 victory against host Wake Christian Academy. He added 25 yards and one touchdown in the run game.
The junior running back racked up 95 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries for the Red Devils.

The junior defensive end finished with 12 tackles, including five for losses, and a sack as the Bulldogs fell to visiting Eastern Randolph 8-6.
