Jameson Hodge, 4, plants a tree to honor veterans June 6 at Burlington’s American Legion Post 63, with the help of his parents, Rocky and Michelle Hodge. Michelle called the post when Jameson said he wanted to plant the tree, and the family brought the oak sapling with them. After the planting, Post Commander Dave Beckley presented Jameson with a certificate of appreciation and a small personal flag, and gave Rocky and Michelle a larger flag to fly in their yard.
