GRAHAM — Graham Recreation and Parks will hold a Cottontail Crawl scavenger hunt in downtown on Saturday, April 1, from noon-4 p.m. for adults 18 and older.
The community is invited to explore downtown businesses while searching for the hidden QR codes using clues to get them from one site to another. There will be specials, holiday-themed merchandise and entertainment hosted by shops, restaurants and bars.
Online registration is required. The cost is $5 per participant (no refunds). Registration is open until Friday, March 31, but space is limited to the first 100 people.
All registered participants will receive a swag bag with candy, knickknacks and coupons for businesses and organizations in Alamance County. Grand prizes for the winners will include gift certificates, merchandise and more.
The event will be held rain or shine. To stay up to date on additions to the event and any inclement weather updates, follow Graham Recreation and Parks on Facebook. To register and for more information, visit www.GrahamRecreationAndParks.com.
Instructions will be emailed to registered participants. Starting at noon on April 1, participants can check in. After participants receive their first clue, they will make their way to the downtown business the clue leads them to, where they will find a QR code on the window to scan for a code word and the clue for the next business.
All participants who complete the crawl and turn in their code words on time in the correct order will be entered into a raffle for grand prize drawings. Extra grand prize drawing entries can be earned by making purchases and showing your receipts at the end of the crawl.
All participants must turn in their code words by 3:30 p.m. The grand prize drawing will begin at 3:45 p.m. You must be present to win.
