GIBSONVILLE — A Tennessee man died from injuries he received in a wreck that happened last weekend after he failed to yield the right of way at an intersection north of Gibsonville, the N.C. State Highway Patrol said.

Randel Dan Clark, 79, of Bluff City, Tennessee, was driving a 2018 Chevrolet west on Howerton Road about 11:15 a.m. Sunday, April 14, and stopped at the intersection with N.C. 61 but then failed to remain stopped as a 2009 Chevrolet approached on N.C. 61 going north, the Highway Patrol said. Clark pulled into the intersection and hit the Chevrolet, driven by John Tyler Justice, 34, of Gibsonville.
