GRAHAM — The music experience and opportunities in Graham have been expanded with the Musical Chairs Countywide Outdoor Concert Series at Bill Cooke Park, 1010 Townbranch Road.
This program gives musicians a chance to perform in a comfortable setting and allows spectators to enjoy the outdoors in a local park. This series was created through the efforts of Alamance Arts as a collaboration of community concert events taking place in Graham, Mebane, Burlington and Alamance Parks.
Free concerts will take place from 7-9 p.m. on the first Friday of each month from May through August and are for all ages.
The lineup is Mel Melton and the Wicked Mojos (zydeco and blues) on May 3, Sahara Reggae Band on June 7, the Phoebes Band (rock, blues, pop and country) on July 5 and Dani Kerr and the Skeleton Krew (Southern rock, country and Americana) on Aug. 2.
Bring your lawn chair. No smoking, vaping or alcohol is allowed. Vendors will also be on-site with treats.
