GRADUATIONS
Dalton Ray Barnhart of Alamance County is among the troopers who were welcomed by N.C. Highway Patrol at a graduation ceremony for the 151st Basic Highway Patrol School. The cadets will report to their respective duty stations on Wednesday, Nov. 4, to begin a demanding field training program. Barnhart is assigned to the Graham duty station.

J.T. Allen, who lives near Snow Camp, has released his first novel, "Love, Judie Kate."
Barbara R. Christy of Snow Camp, a partner at Schell Bray PLLC, has been sworn in as president of the North Carolina State Bar. Christy is the fourth woman, since the State Bar’s inception in 1933, to lead the organization. During her tenure, Christy hopes to lead the Bar in the advancement of several initiatives aimed at improving access to justice, Schell Bray says. In addition to Christy's professional duties, she serves on the Board of Directors of Southern Alamance Family Empowerment, which provides food assistance to families in Alamance County. She is a pianist at Saxapahaw United Methodist Church.
Renee Raines has joined Allen Tate in Burlington. She is a West Virginia native and has also lived in Texas and Colorado. She has been a sales ops manager in the food safety industry. Her passion is family, friends and food. She and her husband enjoy hiking and spending time with their dogs. Renee can be reached at 336-227-3666.

Healthgrades recognizes Alamance Regional Medical Center (ARMC) with five-star distinctions for treatment of respiratory failure and pneumonia. ARMC has been a 5-star recipient for treatment of pneumonia for 10 consecutive years (2012-2021) and a 5-star recipient for treatment of respiratory failure for seven consecutive years (2015-2021).
