Two Caswell Couinty men wanted since January in connection with larcenies from a business recently were found and arrested, the Alamance County Sheriff's Office said.
On Jan. 17, the owner of Ideal Comfort Heating and Air in the Union Ridge community reported that numerous spare HVAC parts, scrap metal items and an air compressor had been stolen from the business. Investigators identified a man and his son-in-law as the suspects but were not able to find them, the sheriff's office said.
On Tuesday, John Baptist Moreno, 62, and Larry M. Mann, 38, both of Indian Village Trail in Caswell County, were taken into custody and taken to the Alamance County Detention Center.
Both were charged with felony larceny and felony obtaining property by false pretenses. Moreno's bond was set at $20,000 secured, and Mann's was set at $50,000 secured. Both also were served with additional arrest warrants from other agencies.
Mann also had been identified during an investigation of the theft of a leaf blower on March 8 from a vehicle in a business parking lot on Union Ridge Road, which detectives determined had been sold to a pawn shop the following day by Mann's wife, Tara Poling, the sheriff's office said.
In that investigation, Mann was charged with felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, felony larceny after breaking and entering and felony obtaining property by false pretenses, and Boling was charged with felony obtaining property by false pretenses and felony possession of stolen property.
