A man died Tuesday evening in a traffic crash in Haw River, police said.
At 6:54 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, police received a report of a traffic accident involving a pedestrian at the U.S. Highway 70 bypass near Roma Road, according to a press release.
Police said Mark Porter, 56, of Haw River, was walking east on the westbound side of the bypass. A vehicle driving west and driven by Nicholas Bradsher, 32, of Burlington, collided with Porter, according to the release.
Porter died at the scene, police said.
Responding agencies included the Haw River Police Department, N.C. State Highway Patrol, Burlington Police Department, Haw River Fire Department and Alamance County EMS.
