ELON – The Elon University Dance Performance & Choreography Class of 2023 will be premier their senior thesis performance next week.
The show, "Game Over," will be on March 31 at 5 p.m., April 1 at noon and 5 p.m. and April 2 at 5 p.m. in the Roberts Studio Theatre.
Under the company name MODA Collaborative, the 13 seniors have worked to piece together this evening-long concert as the final production for the senior class after four years of performing at Elon University.
"Game Over" is a production that explores the influence of various types of games and how they affect movement.
The eight student-choreographed pieces serve as a demonstration of not only choreographic expertise, but interpretations and illustration of board games, video games and mental games and simulations.
MODA Collaborative also worked with Ashley Lindsey, a well-known choreographer and faculty member at the UNC School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, to create the closing piece for the show.
