EDITOR'S NOTE: We received a notice Wednesday morning that this event has been postponed due to inclement weather. We will update it once a new date has been selected.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic back in March, United Way of Alamance County has played host to two food drives benefitting local food pantries and one more upcoming on Thursday.
As the designated feeding coordinator for the county, we have seen a great need for shelf-stable items given the impacts COVID-19 has had on our community.
Over the course of the summer, we collected over 5,900 pounds of food for four local pantries in Alamance County and will be donating to two more on Thursday. Please see the information below for the next drive. We look forward to seeing you!
Food Drive Details:
Volunteers will be located in the back parking lot of the United Way office from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday. The address is 220 E. Front Street and the drop off will be a drive-thru. No need to get out of your car. Volunteers in PPE will unload it for you.
If you are not able to make it to the Food Drive on Thursday, Mebane Arts and Community Center is currently collecting donations until Nov. 6.
